An Eddyville man was injured in a UTV crash last week in Lyon County.
According to the Lyon County Sherriff’s Department, the wreck happened around 7 a.m. on February 6 near Barkley Dam. Investigation revealed that a UTV operated by 18-year-old Collin Calhoun of Eddyville was heading east on Warehouse Road, and the windshield had become frozen with condensation, causing limited visibility.
That’s when the UTV left the roadway, and Calhoun overcorrected, losing control and overturning down an embankment.
Calhoun reportedly received incapacitating injures to the upper body and was taken to a Paducah hospital for treatment.
