There is an elevated fire risk across all of western Kentucky, including Christian, Todd and Trigg Counties, thanks to a combination of fast winds, dry conditions and low humidity.
The potential for increased fire risks exists for the entire region, so citizens are asked to postpone any burning to another day. Make sure any cigarette butts are fulling extinguished before tossing and if you see any fire or smoke, report it to your local officials, just in case.
As a reminded, all of Kentucky is under a burn ban between the hours of 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. during the month of March until about mid-April.
