An Elkton woman was killed in a two-vehicle collision on the Western Kentucky Parkway in Grayson County Tuesday afternoon.
According to Kentucky State Police, the crash happened near the 116-mile-marker around 1:30 p.m. when a vehicle operated by 28-year-old Kelsey Dunn of Elkton was heading east bound while it was heavily raining. Dunn lost control of the vehicle due to the rain, which crossed the median and went into the path of a westbound semi-truck.
The two collided and Dunn was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Grayson County Coroner. The driver of the tractor-trailer, 28-year-old George Stup III of Belton was not injured.
The Western Kentucky Parkway was closed for several hours.
Dunn was the Director of Bands at North Hardin High School and a graduate of Todd County Central High School.
