Farm Bureau awards scholarships to local students

Kentucky Farm Bureau has awarded nearly $800,000 in scholarships to students across Kentucky, setting a new record. 

Some of those scholarships were local—the Christian County Farm Bureau awarded $1,000 scholarships to Kylie Batts, Lynslee Cansler, McKenzie Hyams, Eli Morris, Evan Paige, Caroline Payne and Hannah Thorson. The Trigg County Farm Bureau awarded $500 scholarships to Jacey Holmes, Howard Humphries, Clayton Litchfield, Anna Sink and Laura Thomas. 

The Muhlenberg County Farm Bureau awarded $1,000 scholarships to Kaitlyn Boggess and Reece McPherson, and the Hopkins County Farm Bureau awarded $4,000 scholarships to Jack Englebright and Hannah Garrott.

Statewide scholarships included students attending a Kentucky college or university and pursuing a four-year degree in animal health/veterinary technology or a related field, students who come from farm families, students pursuing a graduate degree at the University of Kentucky Martin-Gatton College of Agriculture, Food and Environment, students pursuing a four-year degree in horticulture or landscape architecture and more.
