Today is the penultimate day of the 75th Western Kentucky State Fair, so don’t miss out—head out to get your favorite fair foods, ride your favorite rides and participate in something fun before the fair closes out for another year.
Speaking with WHOP this week, Barry and Cannon Cornelius spoke on how special this fair is, being the 75th anniversary along with the 250th birthday of the United States. Gates open at 4:30 p.m. and Cannon says it’s a $25 unlimited ride armband night with the petting zoo open, but it’s the last night you can view the Clydesdale.
Friday also brings a Corn Hole Tournament to the air-conditioned convention center starting at 7 p.m., which is also when the Mid-South Truck and Tractor Pulls take over the grandstands.
Both Barry and Cannon highlighted some their favorite things happening at the fair, but both agreed that the best part has been seeing everyone have a great time after they’ve worked hard to bring something great to the community.
Tickets to get into the grandstands are $15 for adults, $5 for those between six-to-12 years old and those five-years old and younger get in free. Admission to the fair itself remains $3 and you can find a full schedule of events on westernkentuckystatefair.org.
