The Christian County Master Gardeners Association announced on Friday that Luke Luttrull was awarded this year’s Master Gardener Scholarship.
According to a news release, Luttrull is a junior at Murray State University majoring in agriculture education. Luttrull also serves as Murray State’s Collegiate FFA President and is a member of the Horticulture Club.
Each summer the association awards the scholarship to a third or fourth-year full-time student majoring in agriculture or horticulture at a Kentucky college. When awarding the scholarship, the association takes a student’s extra-curricular activities, community service, awards and work experience into consideration.
