Golfers across the region are invited to tee off for a good cause at the upcoming Golf Scramble to benefit Grace and Mercy, scheduled for October 4, at Western Hills Golf Course in Hopkinsville.

The event will feature a 4-person scramble format, with registration and breakfast beginning at 7:30 a.m. and a start at 9 a.m. Organizer Paula Halcomb says entry is $75 per person or $300 per team. Participants will enjoy breakfast and lunch, with opportunities to take part in Mulligan’s, Split the Pot, and compete for winning team prizes.

Grace and Mercy, a Christ-centered home for women in crisis, will benefit from all proceeds raised during the tournament. Halcomb emphasized that the event is not only a day of fun and community, but also a chance to directly support women on their journey toward hope and healing.

Sponsorships are available, with hole sponsorships priced at $125, which include a personalized sign placed at the hole. To learn more about sponsorship or donations, Halcomb says you can call (270) 885-7676 or (270) 484-0593

Teams interested in registering can contact Mike Mathis at (270) 348-1531 or if you would like to volunteer, people can contact Halcomb at (270) 839-0705—the registration deadline is September 27. Paula Halcomb expressed her gratitude for the community’s generosity, noting that Grace and Mercy, along with many other local nonprofits, rely on the kindness of donors to continue serving.

She emphasized that the ministry’s work is only possible through the support of the community and the grace of God, and she encouraged people to continue giving to this worthy cause. You can find more information by visiting Grace and Mercy on Facebook.
