Grace and Mercy to celebrate graduates at annual community banquet on Thursday

Local non-profit Grace and Mercy are about to celebrate the graduation of six women from its rehabilitation program, and they’re inviting the community to come celebrate with them.

The graduation ceremony and community banquet are set to take place starting at 6 p.m. Thursday, February 19 and Paula Halcomb with Grace and Mercy says it will be a night of God-lead inspiration and fellowship, and she says people will be wowed by the testimonies of their six graduates.

She says you can certainly register to watch the event online by registering through the Grace and Mercy website, but she does encourage folks to come in person if they can, to really feel the power of the event.

Along with the celebration, Grace and Mercy is also looking to raise funds to support a large project they are currently under taking called “Her Legacy”. Halcomb says they’re turning an older home on South Main Street into some apartments for graduates, to help them get back out on their own.

You can donate to the cause or register for the event by going online to graceandmercyky.org.

Grace and Mercy is a Christian nonprofit program in Hopkinsville that opened in 2015 to provide support and housing to women who have recently been incarcerated in order to help them find employment and reunite with their children.
