Graduation for Christian County Public Schools takes place this Friday and a plan is in place to hopefully make sure the plan goes as smoothly as possible.
Hopkinsville High School goes first this year at the Stadium of Champions at 5 p.m. with gates opening at 4 p.m. and then Christian County High School’s graduation starts at 8:30 p.m. with gates opening at 7:30 p.m. The event will be live-streamed, with link available on the CCPS website and Facebook pages as we get closer to the events.
The weapons detection system will be used for all guests entering the stadium, and no purses, bags, backpacks, gift bags or balloons will be allowed in the stadium, for safety concerns.
Only graduating seniors will be allowed on the field and track area.
Officials say, “We understand that this may cause some inconvenience for our guests, but we ask for their understanding. Ensuring the safety of our students and guests is our top priority.”
