A Christian County Grand Jury has returned multiple indictments, including for attempted murder, wanton endangerment and more.
Indicted for attempted murder and tampering with physical evidence is 31-year-old Alicia Yocham of Hopkinsville. She is accused of subjecting her five-year-old son to torture and cruel punishment, by failing to provide him with food, proper shelter and proper care. She is also accused of attempting to conceal, remove or alter physical evidence that she believed would be used in a court proceeding. The child had to receive medical care at a hospital due to his state.
Forty-four-year-old Carmaca Jackson of Hopkinsville was indicted for second-degree assault domestic violence, after she allegedly struck a female victim with her vehicle in October of 2023.
Indicted for second-degree robbery is 39-year-old Curtis Flick of Hopkinsville—he is accused of using or threatening to use physical force against a Wal-Mart employee during the commission of a theft in May.
Nineteen-year-old Martavious Reed of Clarksville was indicted on charges of first-degree wanton endangerment, first-degree wanton endangerment of a police officer, first-degree fleeing or evading police, leaving the scene of an accident with failure to render aid, trafficking in marijuana and several traffic violations.
According to a report, an officer witnessed Reed speeding near Old Clarksville Pike and Hammond Drive. The officer followed Reed, who reportedly accelerated, which started the pursuit. The pursuit continued down Silvey Road and onto Fort Campbell Boulevard toward Oak Grove.
During the pursuit, Reed was allegedly weaving through traffic, ran multiple red lights and reached speeds of up to 123 MPH. The pursuit ended at Circle K in Oak Grove after Reed reportedly struck three vehicles at the Fort Campbell Boulevard and Gate Seven Road intersection.
According to a wreck report, three vehicles were traveling south near the intersection when Reed attempted to weave through them which led to him sideswiping them. The collision resulted in Tara Rameriz of Florida being transported to Tennova Healthcare for injuries.
