Heritage Christian Academy’s Cruz Egbert continued his good start to the 2026 high school golf season on Monday at the McCracken County Invitational.
The Warriors’ star took third place individually with a 1-under par 71 at Rolling Hills Country Club, according to a post on the school’s athletic Facebook page. He was the only member of the HCA golf team to compete in the tournament.
McCracken County’s Jack Farmery won the tournament with a 5-under 67 and the Mustangs’ Evan Hack was 2-under at 70 to finish runner-up.
McCracken County won the team title with a 288.
University Heights Academy finished 11th in the tournament with a team score of 347.
Nash McAfee led the Blazers with an 85. Luca Torres and Cal Givens carded an 86 and 87, respectively. Courtland Gibson had an 89 and Michael Flynn finished at 96.
Egbert, UHA, and the Christian County Tigers are back in action Friday at the Daviess County Invitational in Owensboro.
