Hoppers advance to tonight’s title series at Henderson

The Hoptown Hoppers advanced to the 2026 Ohio Valley League championship series with a 10-2 win over the visiting Fulton Railroaders Monday night.

Monday’s game resumed in the top of the eighth inning where it was when weather forced the postponement Sunday night.

After the Hoppers were retired in the bottom of the eighth, Gabe Eddington put the Railroaders down in order in the top of the ninth to end the game.

The Hoppers (26-12), won two of three games with Fulton, advance to play at top seed Henderson tonight at 6:30. The Flash (29-11) swept Madisonville out of the playoffs Saturday night.

The Flash overtook the Hoppers late in the season for the top spot in the OVL and won the regular season by 1 ½ games over Hoptown. The two teams split their four meetings this season.
