Thursday is the first official day of summer, but it’s going to already feel like in the week leading up to that, and the days following after.
Western Kentucky and the region as a whole will be in a heatwave, with above average temperatures the norm for at least the next week—Meteorologist Daniel Spaeth says summer looks like it’s here to stay for the time being.
The goods new is, even with temperatures in the 90’s, the humidity is looking to be fairly low, so hopefully it won’t be completely miserable all week.
After that, in the 8-to-14-day outlook, the temperatures look to stay above average, but so does the chance for precipitation.
The chance for pop-up rain and storms will linger into Tuesday before the rest of the week dries out—our next chance for rain won’t return until the weekend.
