After a delay caused by stormy weather last Saturday, the Hopkinsville Christmas parade is set to go on starting at 5:15 p.m. Saturday, before Santa continues his visit on Sunday.
Parks and Recreation Superintendent Toby Hudson says it ended up being the right call to reschedule the parade to December 16 after storms moved through the area, causing damage in Todd County and in Clarksville.
He says they’re excited to bring it to the people this Saturday however, with the parade to start at 5:15 p.m. on Glass Avenue and make its way down Main Street to East 14th Street, he hopes people are ready to celebrate the season.
Rachel Sanders with Parks and Recreation says then on Sunday, Santa will travel with the Hopkinsville Fire Department to visit local neighborhoods.
You can track where the big guy is by going online to the Hopkinsville Parks and Recreation website—the event gets underway at 1 p.m. Santa will be in the front passenger seat of the Fire Department truck, so check the route for your area to determine what side of the road he we be on your street
