A Hopkinsville man has been arrested on sex related crimes following investigation into possession matter depicting sexual abuse of children.
According to the Hopkinsville Police Department, officers were informed that images and videos that contained child sexual abuse material were uploaded to an internet account belonging to 18-year-old Donovan Hotson of Hopkinsville.
In 17 of the files, the victims were determined to be under the age of 12, while in 19 files, the victims were determined to be between the ages of 13 and 17.
A search of Hotson’s cellphone allegedly revealed additional files depicting child sexual abuse material. Hotson is charged with 32 counts of possessing matter portraying sexual performance by a minor under 12 years of age and 43 counts of possessing matter portraying sexual performance by a minor under the age of 18.
