A Hopkinsville man is facing a second-degree burglary after he allegedly unlawfully entered a residence on North McPherson Avenue Tuesday afternoon and fought with the homeowner.
According to the Hopkinsville Police Department, officers responded to the 100 block of North McPherson for reports of a disturbance for reports that 39-year-old Travis Matlock of Hopkinsville had entered the home and then refused to leave when confronted by the home owner.
A fight ensued between the two, during which Matlock allegedly bit the homeowner on the arm. Officers took Matlock into custody, where he reportedly briefly struggled with law enforcement.
Matlock is charged with second-degree burglary and resisting arrest.
