A Hopkinsville man was arrested Saturday afternoon after he allegedly assaulted a woman in Oak Grove.
According to the Christian County Sheriff’s Department, the disturbance began in Oak Grove, where deputies responded to reports that a victim had been assaulted around 4 p.m. The individuals had left the scene before deputies arrived, but the victim was later located with the help of Hopkinsville police near Pembroke Road and the Bypass in Hopkinsville.
Investigation began and led to the arrest of 30-year-old Juanye Jones at a location in Pembroke.
He was lodged in the Christian County Jail on charges of first-degree strangulation, first-degree unlawful imprisonment, intimidating a participant in the legal process and fourth-degree assault.
