A motorcycle and utility bucket truck collision near the intersection of Means Avenue and North Virginia Street resulted in a fatality on Tuesday.
The collision occurred at around 11:55 a.m. according to the Hopkinsville Fire Department and first responders were at the scene within two minutes. Fifty-five-year-old Joe Taylor of Hopkinsville was driving a motorcycle when he reportedly collided with the side of the truck and was ejected from his motorcycle.
He was transported to Jennie Stuart Medical Center with CPR in progress, but according to Christian County Coroner Scott Daniel he passed away in the emergency room. The Hopkinsville Police Department is investigating the cause of the wreck.
