Following the holidays, the City of Hopkinsville is back to business, and Public Information Officer Amanda Brunt appeared on WHOP on Friday to share what they have in store for the community.
The city is preparing to host a Mayor Town Hall featuring Lindy Casebier the secretary of the Tourism, Arts and Heritage Cabinet at noon on January 15 at the Hopkinsville Municipal Building. Casebier has been the secretary of the cabinet since 2023, and before that he represented Louisville in the Kentucky General Assembly for 18 years.
Brunt says Casebier will spotlight state initiatives that could impact Hopkinsville.
Brunt says the city is also preparing to host community forums as budget season approaches to see what items or issues residents want to be prioritized in next year’s budget. She also reminded local nonprofit leaders to keep an eye out for when applications open for the Hoptown Helps Grant Program.
Then, to provide some insight and advice to current and prospective small business owners, Brunt says the local Small Business Commission is partnering with LOCAL Hopkinsville to host a networking event on February 19 at the Hopkinsville Brewing Company.
