Hopkinsville Police arrested 39-year-old Marcos Martinez of Hopkinsville for drug trafficking on Monday after he was reportedly in possession of methamphetamine.
According to a report from police, Martinez was found asleep on the floor in an Airbnb on Country Club Lane by a house cleaner. Martinez had reportedly stayed past his check out time and the cleaner called police to check if he was okay.
Police arrived and reportedly found a white powdery substance suspected to be methamphetamine and a glass pipe. Officer’s woke Martinez up and he reportedly admitted to being given the drugs by a woman in the Walmart parking lot.
Martinez was charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
