Officers from the Hopkinsville Police Department arrested 23-year-old Stephen Bussell of Hopkinsville on Sunday after he reportedly fired a handgun multiple times at a group of people resulting in injuries.
According to a report from Police, the shooting occurred in the parking lot of the Christian County Health Department. Through investigation, officers found that Bussell was allegedly in a vehicle driving eastbound on West 17th Street when he discharged a handgun at a crowd of people.
Three minors and one adult were stuck in the gunfire, reportedly resulting in serious injuries. Two of the minors and the adult were transported to Jennie Stuart Medical Center and the other juvenile victim was transported to a hospital in Nashville for treatment of their injuries.
Bussell has been charged with four counts of first-degree assault, seven counts of first-degree wanton endangerment and tampering with physical evidence. More arrests in relation to the shooting may be pending.
