The holiday season is right around the corner, and the City of Hopkinsville is inviting the community to show off their holiday spirit and competitiveness with a home and business decoration contest.
The Beautification Division of Hopkinsville Public Works is hosting their annual Holiday Decoration Contest for homes and businesses. Twelve homes, one per city ward, will receive awards for best decorated residence and one business will be awarded as best decorated.
Folks can submit their nominations to Public Works by calling 270-890-0703, sending them to the Hopkinsville Beautification Facebook page or by filling out a form on hopkinsvilleky.us.
Nominations must be submitted by 3:30 p.m. on December 15. Homes and businesses will be judged during the week of December 16 and the winners will be announced on December 20.
Winners will receive a certificate of recognition and be featured on the city’s social media. Homes and businesses that have won the award in the past two years are not eligible to win.
