HPD investigating after East 18th apartment struck by gunfire

The Hopkinsville Police Department is investigating after a home was damaged by gunfire early Monday morning. 

According to the police report, it happened around 1:20 a.m. when an unknown suspect fired a gunshot into the victim’s apartment on East 18th Street, causing approximately $200 worth of damage to the dwelling.

The victim, who was asleep at the time, was not injured. A brass bullet was located in the wall of the apartment.

No suspects are listed on the report and the incident is being investigated as first-degree wanton endangerment and second-degree criminal mischief.
