The Hopkinsville Police Department is welcoming a new officer, as Tanner Reneer has graduated from the Basic Training Academy in Richmond.
According to HPD, Reneer graduated from the Department of Criminal Justice and Training, where he was awarded Fit for Duty. He will now spend the next eight weeks with a police training officer, where he will work to build relationships in the community while continuing to learn more about being a law enforcement officer.
One he completes that phase of his training; he will be able to assume a solo patrol.
