Fifty-five-year-old Wendell Christmas of Indiana was recently arrested following an alleged fraud scheme at the Navy Federal Credit Union in Oak Grove.
Oak Grove Police issued a warrant for his arrest after they reportedly found that Christmas played a role in a fraud scheme recruiting and helping individuals use stolen identities to steal money. With help from an accomplice, Christmas was allegedly able to steal over $25,000 in Oak Grove.
The warrant for Christmas’ arrest was executed by police officers in Orlando Park, Illinois and he is currently awaiting extradition to Christian County. Christmas is charged with theft by unlawful taking of over $10,000 and unlawful access to a computer.
