Everything was given the all clear following investigation into a possible gas leak at Christian County Middle School Tuesday morning.
According to Christian County Public Schools, an odor of gas was reported at the middle school on Glass Avenue, and the Hopkinsville Fire Department, Atmos Energy and CCPS maintenance responded to do a thorough investigation. Multiple tests were conducted and there was confirmed to be no gas leak.
The building was deemed safe for students and staff, with no evacuation necessary. A secondary possible gas leak was reported in the North Drive area a short time later, with Hopkinsville Fire and EMS Captain Payton Rogers confirming to WHOP News that no gas leak was found there either.
