Community theater company, Campanile Productions is inviting the community to the historic Alhambra Theatre for their production of the musical, “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” in August.
“Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” was first performed in 1968 and follows the story of Joseph from the Bible’s Book of Genesis. According to Campanile, the entire show is sung, features multiple genres, lots of dancing and plenty of laughs.
Production Director, Anna Beth Riggs says their cast and crew have been working hard to put together a spectacular show and they are excited to bring it to Hopkinsville. Riggs also encourages attendees to dress in their flashiest attire to celebrate the occasion.
The production company is set to host four showings of the musical. Evening showings are set for 7 p.m. on August 8-10 and a matinee showing is set for 2 p.m. on August 11. At the August 10 showing the night will conclude with a performance by the Campanile Cabaret in celebration of the 15-year anniversary of Campanile Productions.
Tickets will be sold at the door and are available at campanileproductions.com.
