Joy Closet invites community annual dinner

After hosting a successful Back-2-School Bash, Joy Closet Executive Director, Heather Gray is inviting the community to their third annual Joy Closet Dinner.

Joy Closet is a Hopkinsville based nonprofit focused on supporting foster care children, families and children in crisis in the Pennyrile region by providing them with need-based donated items such as clothing, toys and sanitary products.

Gray appeared on WHOP and shared that this year’s dinner is set for September 5 at 6 p.m. at New Work Fellowship. Attending the dinner is free, but Gray is asking that people RSVP.

The theme of this year’s dinner is “Be the Village” to highlight how the community can come together to help children in need. Gray also shared that the dinner will include a guest speaker who is a licensed therapist working for the state and is also a foster parent.
