KCTCS invites folks to donate to Giving Day campaign

To raise money for student programs and scholarships, the Kentucky Community and Technical College System is launching its annual Giving Day campaign on Wednesday.

Funds from the 24-hour fundraiser go toward academic scholarships and student services such as food pantries and emergency aid. According to a 2023 survey around 58% KCTCS students who responded worry about having enough money to pay for college and 48% of responders reported experiencing food and housing insecurities.

KCTCS President Ryan Quarles says that understanding the connection between student finances and student success is essential to helping students stay in college until they complete their program. He calls the Giving Day campaign a chance to remove those barriers to help students stay on the path to career success.

Supporters can donate at kctcsgivingday.com and can select which community college they want to support.
