Leaders of the Kentucky Community and Technical College System and Murray State University recently discussed continuing their partnership to support transfer students.
KCTCS President Ryan Quarles and Murray State President Bob Jackson reaffirmed their agreement allowing students from the community college system to easily transfer to the university. According to a news release, transfer students pursuing their bachelor’s degree at Murray State are eligible for up to $4,000 worth of scholarships.
Quarles says the agreement between the institutions is a strategic opportunity to create a more highly skilled and competitive workforce to meet state needs, while providing scholarship opportunities for students to earn a four-year degree.
Jackson says the partnership provides many opportunities for students to pursue their careers and is grateful to continue collaborating with KCTCS.
