Kentucky, National realtors offering relief funding to those impacted by flooding

Kentucky Realtors and the National Association of Realtors are teaming up to provide relief funding to those whose homes were damaged by recent flooding.

According to a news release, the Realtors will provide $150,000 to help those whose homes were destroyed or damaged in the weekend’s flooding event.  Relief funds can be applied toward assistance with mortgage and rental payments, as well as lodging assistance for those who were displaced due to the natural disaster.

Funds will be available to those who experienced home damage in relation to the event that resulted in a State of Emergency that was declared on February 14. Assistance will be limited to one month of housing expenses, up to a maximum of $1,000 per household.

To apply for assistance, visit the Kentucky’s Realtors Facebook page. The deadline to apply is April 30.
