Kentucky State Police are investigating a fatal structure fire in Muhlenberg County.
According to a news release, KSP was requested by the Muhlenberg County Sheriff’s Department around 3 p.m. to investigation the fatal fire. Preliminary investigation determined that 72-year-old David E. Poole of Cleaton was pronounced deceased on the scene by the Muhlenberg County Coroner.
The investigation continues. Kentucky State Police were assisted by the Muhlenberg County Sheriff’s Department, Muhlenberg County Coroner’s Office, Central City Fire Department, Drakesboro Fire Department, and the Kentucky State Fire Marshal.
