The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet announced that a section of KY 1072 also known as Long Pond Road near Pembroke is closed to traffic starting on Monday for an intersection widening project.
According to a news release, contractors will be working on a widening project on Long Pond Road at the intersection of KY 115 to improve traffic flow between Pembroke and Interstate 24.
The cabinet anticipates for the closure to last through Friday and in the meantime, signs directing motorists on a detour using Bradshaw Lane will be posted.
