James “Jim” McCoy has joined the Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area staff as their area supervisor officially taking on the role in early October according to a news release from the national recreation area.
The news release shares that McCoy is no stranger to LBL having served as their fire management officer from 2003 to 2011. Before taking on his role as area supervisor, McCoy completed an assignment with the Forest Service’s Southern Region Office serving as their chief of staff.
McCoy says he is excited and honored to return to LBL and looks forward to serving this community again.
