The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet announced that concrete repair work is set for Interstate 24 in Trigg and Lyon Counties starting on Tuesday, resulting in lane restrictions.
According to a news release from the cabinet, work zones will result in lane restrictions for eastbound traffic on the interstate. Repair work will be done from markers 64 to 67 in Trigg County and from mile markers 49 to 52 in Lyon County.
The cabinet advises that motorists should be alert for slowing and merging traffic as they approach these locations. Eastbound traffic will move to the left-hand or passing lane at work zones.
The work is expected to be completed in two months and once eastbound repairs are finished, contractors will move to the westbound lanes for additional concrete repairs.
