Christian County law enforcement assisted in a pursuit that crossed into Kentucky from Tennessee on Interstate 24 which resulted in the arrest of 27-year-old Dustin Duley of Springfield, Tennessee on Wednesday.
According to a report from the Christian County Sheriff’s Office, they were notified by dispatch that Tennessee law enforcement was pursuing a vehicle operated by Duley that was driving westbound on I-24.
Duley’s vehicle was reportedly stolen out the Nashville and Clarksville area and he thought to possibly be in possession of a firearm.
Once Duley crossed the state line, Tennessee law enforcement reportedly ended their pursuit, but a helicopter from the Nashville Metro Police Department continued to track the vehicle and share Duley’s location.
Kentucky law enforcement reportedly located Duley’s vehicle on Highway 115 driving toward Pembroke. After being spotted, Duley turned around heading south. The pursuit continued on Pruitt Lane where Duley was stopped by law enforcement and was reportedly arrested without incident.
Duley was charged with first-degree fleeing or evading police and receiving stolen property valued at over $10,000.
