Twenty-nine western Kentuckians graduated from the West Kentucky Regional Chamber Alliance’s (WKRCA) second class of the Leadership West Kentucky program in late June.
The regional program serves to help participants develop their leadership skills, educate them on regional issues and raise awareness of what counties in the region are known for.
According to a news release, participants met monthly from January to June at various locations across the region. Each session focused on regional topics, such as agriculture, transportation, education, economic development and much more.
Paducah Chamber of Commerce President, Sandra Wilson says this year’s graduates came together to learn more about communities in the region and looks forward to them returning to their communities with increased skills, knowledge, perspective and a new region-wide professional network.
From Christian County, three participants graduated including, Traci Mason Perry from WHOP, Billy Bingham from United Southern Bank and Landan Stallons from Planter’s Bank.
Applications for the third class of the program will be available in November at wkrca.org.
