The Christian County Animal Shelter announced the return of their annual Dog Days of Summer fundraising event, and Shelter Director Melissa Goff is putting out the call for vendors.
Local business owners, crafters, food trucks and folks who want to have a yard sale are invited to be vendors at this year’s event, which runs from June 5 to June 7. Vendor spots cost $25 per day and $50 for all three days.
Along with the vendors, Goff says the shelter is offering $15 nail trims and microchipping services, pet adoption fees will be discounted and there will be a bounce house for the kiddos. Adult dogs and cats will cost $50, puppies will be $30 off and kittens will be $10 off.
Other pet agencies such as Max’s Hope Pet Rescue, Moving Mountains for Mastiffs, Haven 12:10 and the Christian County Humane’s Society is set to be attendance to provide information about their work in the community.
All the money raised from selling vendor spots and providing discounted services will go toward the Shelter’s Get Em’ Done Program which focuses on spaying and neutering abandoned or stray animals.
Those interested in being a vendor at the event can visit the shelter or call them at 270-887-4175.
