Local Grand Jury issues indictments for assault, endangerment crimes

A Christian County Grand Jury issued indictments for assault and wanton endangerment crimes on Friday.

Fifty-year-old Jason Render of Hopkinsville was indicted for first-degree assault after he reportedly hit a man with a hammer multiple times on November 5. The victim reportedly suffered a large laceration to the back of the head and appeared to have a broken knuckle.

Eighteen-year-old Zamarius Lewis of Oak Grove was indicted for three counts of first-degree wanton endangerment and use of restricted ammunition after he reportedly pointed a handgun at multiple people on October 1.
