The Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Campaign is underway and on Saturday nonprofit locations across the country are preparing to take part in the National Commander’s Red Kettle Challenge.
On Saturday from noon to 4 p.m. Salvation Army posts will attempt to collectively raise $2 million for the campaign. The Hopkinsville Salvation Army is encouraging the community to show up and donate.
In a news release, Lieutenant David Donegan says with the growing needs in the community, the challenge presents a powerful chance to make a significant impact.
Funds raised through the campaign will go toward the Salvation Army’s mission of helping those in need. Those interested in donating to the campaign can do so in-person at Walmart on Clinic Drive or online at salvationarmyhopkinsville.org.
