Local youth participate in beef advocacy learning opportunity

The Kentucky Beef Council recently took a group of 10 high school students to Nebraska for a week full of agriculture learning.

The group of students from all parts of Kentucky started the week off in Kansas City, Missouri then traveled to Lincoln, Nebraska to end their week at the Nebraska Youth Beef Leadership Symposium (NYBLS).

A few participants at this year’s NYBLS trip were from Caldwell and Christian counties, where they had the opportunity to become immersed in the beef industry on a national scale and grow into their leadership abilities.

The Beef Council is focused on the future of beef through growing producers, marketing and advocacy. If you are interested in attending future trips or want to learn more about the Kentucky Beef Council visit their website at kycattle.com.
