A Madisonville man is facing several charges after he reportedly fled from police after they responded to reports of a disturbance on Whittington Drive early Friday morning.
According to the report from the Madisonville Police Department, officers responded to the 200 block of Whittington around 5 a.m. for reports that a man was laying in people’s yard and screaming, even though it was raining.
When officers arrived, the suspect—identified as Dakota Kingery of Madisonville—reportedly fled on foot, ignoring commands to stop. The foot pursuit lasted a short time before Kingery was taken into custody.
He was allegedly manifestly under the influence of narcotics, with officers believing he posed a danger to himself and others in the area.
Kingery is charged with first-degree fleeing or evading police, public intoxication and disorderly conduct.
