The man who was arrested in connection with a wreck on Pembroke Road in May that resulted in the death of two women is now officially charged with vehicular homicide, after being indicted by a Christian County Grand Jury Friday.
Specifically, 30-year-old Isaiah Edwards of Clarksville is indicted on two counts of vehicular homicide when under the influence of drugs and one count of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of a substance, third offense.
The collision happened on May 5, 2025 between a vehicle that Edwards was reportedly driving and four bicyclists in the 1000 block of Pembroke Road. Two of the cyclists, 31-year-old Marlene Martin and 34-year-old Rachel Hoover, where both rushed to Nashville hospitals but would ultimately die of their injuries.
Edwards told law enforcement at the time that he had been distracted while driving, though further investigation and performance during field sobriety tests led to his arrest at the scene.
