A man was killed in a house fire on Ovil Road Thursday afternoon.
The fire started Thursday afternoon at a residence in the 13000 block of Ovil Road in northern Christian County, and the home was fully engulfed in flames as firefighters arrived. The home was a complete loss with the roof collapsing.
Once the fire was extinguished, a search began to see if anyone was in the home. After having to call off the search overnight due to the dark and hazardous conditions, crews were able to locate the victim around 10 a.m. Friday morning.
Christian County Coroner Scott Daniel identified the victim as 64-year-old Kirk Douglas Henderson, who resided in the home.
