Hopkinsville Police are investigating after 19-year-old Jordan Jones of Hopkinsville was shot on Walnut Street Wednesday afternoon and later died from his injuries.
The shooting occurred in the 1200 block of Walnut Street, and Hopkinsville Fire and EMS Captain Payton Rogers says Jones was in a car and suffered a single gunshot wound to the chest. Rogers says he was transported to Jennie Stuart Medical Center with CPR in progress.
Christian County Coroner Scott Daniel later confirmed that he died of his injuries at the hospital. No arrests have been made yet, and anyone with information on the shooting is asked to call ECC 270-890-1300.
