The Museums of Historic Hopkinsville-Christian County is partnering with Mayor J.R. Knight and the City of Hopkinsville to offer free admission to all children and students, starting today.
According to a news release, the free admission for students will run through August 31, and the Pennyroyal Area Museum will be open on Mondays throughout the summer. That gives the community and visitors to the community an extra 11 days to explore the museum and to learn more about local history. Mondays will feature special programming each week at 10:30 a.m.
“This is a wonderful opportunity for our young people to learn about our rich local history and culture. I believe that by making the museum accessible for everyone, we are investing in the future of our community. I encourage families to take advantage of this opportunity and explore and learn together,” said Mayor Knight.
No registration is required for Museum Monday programs. Programs will all be freeto students thanks to the partnership with Mayor Knight and the City of Hopkinsville.
Regular hours for the Pennyroyal Area Museum from June 10 through August 31 will be Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.
