Mediation pending for murder suspect Anthony Moore

Mediation is scheduled to be set to see if a resolution can be reached in the case against murder suspect Anthony Moore and in the meantime, a trial date has been set.

Moore appeared in Christian Circuit Court Wednesday morning alongside public defender Daniel Sherman, who requested the court go ahead and set a trial date in this case, as he and the Commonwealth Attorney look to undergo mediation.

So, Judge John Atkins set a trial date for September 28 and 29, with the hope this case would be resolved before that date.

Moore is facing a charge of murder in connection with March shooting death of 31-year-old Cicara Chantel James at a location on Pembroke-Oak Grove Road. The Christian County Sheriff’s Department reports Anthony Moore was sitting on the porch when they arrived and allegedly admitted to the fatal shooting. He and James both reportedly lived in the home and had children together—those children were in the home when the incident occurred.

Along with murder, he is additionally charged with first-degree wanton endangerment.
