A motorcyclist was flown by helicopter to the hospital Saturday following a crash involving a deer in Russellville.
According to a news release from the Russellville Police Department, the single-vehicle crash happened on U.S. 79 between Bowling Green Road and Franklin Road and preliminary investigation determined that a motorcycle operated by Senad Hamzabegovic had been heading northbound when a deer collided with the vehicle.
Hamzabegovic was air lifted from the scene.
The Russellville Rural Fire Department, Logan County EMS and the Logan County Sheriff’s Department assisted at the scene.
