A Murray man is facing several charges, including endangering the welfare of a minor, fleeing or evading police and more, following investigation into an assault on Saturday.
According to the Murray Police Department, officers responded to reports that a woman was yelling for help and investigation revealed that 28-year-old Deon Howard of Murray had assaulted the victim, endangered a young child and then fled the area as police responded. Police continue to search for Howard, asking for the public’s help in locating him.
A warrant has been issued for his arrest on charges of fourth-degree assault, endangering the welfare of a minor, two counts of first-degree fleeing or evading police and trafficking in marijuana. He is also sought in relation to a previous shooting, where he is wanted on three counts of attempted murder.
He is described a black male, weighing approximately 150 pounds and standing roughly 5’11. He is considered armed and dangerous, and citizens are asked to call 911 or the Murray Police Department if he is spotted.
The Murray Calloway County Crime Stoppers is offering a $2,500 reward for information which leads to the arrest and conviction of Howard.
