The Museums of Historic Hopkinsville-Christian County is now hosting Museum Monday for the rest of the summer, and this coming Monday will feature the Nature of the Pennyroyal.
According to a news release, Museum Mondays will take place each Monday at 10:30 a.m. and offers a fun learning experience to children during the summer months. Each week will feature a differing experience designed to teach more about Christian County and surrounding region.
This coming Monday, students will get a field study of the plants, animals, and rocks that make our region so special–including a chance to take home a reminder of the region’s namesake plant.
Then on July 1, students will learn about the “First Peoples of the Pennyroyal” in a program that explores local artifacts, projectile points, and stories of Native Americans who once called this land their home.
Thanks to a partnership with Mayor J.R. Knight and the City of Hopkinsville, the Museum is offering free admission to all students.
